Music Felon

About

A great concert is more than a performance. It’s the connection between an artist and the crowd, the electricity onstage, and the moments that make every show unique.

Based in Austin, Texas—the Live Music Capital of the World—Music Felon is a music publication dedicated to capturing the energy, creativity, and culture of live music. Through concert photography, live reviews, and artist interviews, we bring readers closer to the performances and artists that make music matter.

From local bands playing intimate venues to national acts commanding arena stages, we cover music without borders. Our coverage spans alternative, rock, punk, rap,  psychedelic, hip-hop, pop, folk, metal, and everything in between. Whether it’s a show at Mohawk, Scoot Inn, Radio East, Emo’s, ACL Live, Moody Amphitheater or an arena tour at Moody Center, or a festival crowd at SXSW, Austin City Limits Music Festival, LEVITATION, or UTOPiAfest, we’re there to document the experience and tell the stories of the music.

We believe music should challenge convention, amplify diverse voices, bring people together, and leave room for the unexpected. That spirit shapes what we cover and how we see the world.
