Lucius, a harmonizing duo backed by three extremely talented musicians, filled the historic Paramount with music that pleased the ears and sent shivers through the soul. Usually audiences applaud after the performance, but like a congregation moved at Sunday service –the Lucius fans at the show hooted and hollered throughout the show as the high notes shook listeners to the core. It was an emotional performance punctuated by the band giving a touching homily centered on the recently deceased musician Richard Swift, followed by a rousing cover of his song “Most of What I Know.” To share in the tribute, they asked the audience to join in with singing the line “your love will keep my heart alive.” It was a special and spiritual show.
