On June 27, 2025, Riverside ska‑punk legends Voodoo Glow Skulls tore through The Parish in Austin, TX, delivering a blistering set that exemplified their blend of brass-fueled punk aggression. Frontman Frank Casillas (back in the fold) led the tightly‑knit lineup —featuring Jorge, Eddie, Steve, and a fiery horn section—through a relentless 12‑song onslaught, opening with “Shoot the Moon” and powering into classics like “Dirty Rats,” “Human Piñata,” and “Delinquent Song.” The energy was palpable, with the band’s signature horn blasts and driving rhythms igniting mosh pits across the floor.
Their performance paid homage to decades of influence while showcasing their current lineup’s cohesion. The reunion of Frank on vocals was a highlight for many many fans. Favorites like “They Always Come Back” and “Charlie Brown” drew enthusiastic sing‑alongs, while the blazing horn arrangements added depth and swagger to every chorus.
The high-energy atmosphere of The Parish provided an ideal setting for the band’s explosive performance. Fans clad in VGS T-shirts bounced in unison, caught in the midst of a sweaty, horn-blasted whirlwind. By the time the encore hit with the anthem “Voodoo Anthem,” it was clear: Voodoo Glow Skulls still reign supreme in the ska-punk arena —fortified by past legacy and energized by the moment.
