It’s always a treat when Twin Tribes tours, but this time I had to leave Austin and travel to the amazing Aztec Theater in San Antonio. Their show on May 9th, 2025 was special, as it was in San Antonio in their home state with die hard fans. It was a beautiful amalgamation of Latin and Goth culture for a night of dark dancing that filled the large theater with joy and cathartic cheering as they played through their hour plus set which included a gorgeous cover of Spanish band La Unión’s 1984 hit “Lobo-hombre en París.” It’s refreshing when a darkwave band pushes the culture forward while embracing their roots.
