On April 30, 2025, the Buzzcocks delivered a high-octane performance at Austin’s Mohawk, reaffirming their status as punk rock pioneers. The band launched into their set with “What Do I Get?,” immediately energizing the crowd and setting the tone for the evening. Their 90-minute set was a blend of classic hits and newer material, showcasing their enduring influence on the punk genre.

Frontman Steve Diggle led the charge with fervent vocals and dynamic guitar work, supported by Chris Remington on bass and Danny Farrant on drums. The trio’s chemistry was evident as they powered through fan favorites like “Harmony in My Head,” “Orgasm Addict,” and “Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve).” The audience responded with enthusiastic sing-alongs and relentless energy, creating a communal atmosphere that echoed the band’s early days.

The Mohawk’s outdoor stage provided an ideal setting for the raw and unfiltered sound that defines the Buzzcocks. The intimate venue allowed for close interaction between the band and fans, enhancing the concert’s intensity. As the night concluded with a reprise of “Gotta Get Better,” the Buzzcocks left the stage having delivered a performance that was both nostalgic and invigorating, solidifying their legacy in the punk rock pantheon.
