On November 23, 2025, Montreal’s hard-charging oi! outfit Béton Armé took over the stage at 29th Street Ballroom, delivering a raw, unfiltered set that landed like a sledgehammer on Austin’s punk-rock faithful. The sold-out 8:00 PM show—part of their North American tour supporting their new album Renaissance—brought a no-frills brand of working-class street punk, complete with chanted choruses and driving rhythms that left no time for calm.

From the first pounding beat, Béton Armé commanded the floor with snarling vocals, razor-sharp guitar riffs, and stomping bass lines. They tore through a mix of recent tracks from Renaissance alongside earlier material — each song delivered with urgency and a collective energy that turned the crowd into one roaring entity. The intensity built steadily, and by the time the final chords faded, the room felt like it had been through a cathartic purge of sound and spirit.

Under the venue’s gritty charm and open-floor vibe, the show hit hard — proving that Béton Armé’s trans-Atlantic take on oi! still carries fire, heart, and a ferocious sense of community. Austin got more than a concert — they got an anthem-laden gut-punch of punk solidarity.
