My first T.i.T.S experienced occurred at the very same venue, One-2-One, as tonight’s live taping by Austin Music Live.  Trouble in the Streets is one of Austin’s prized native musical projects of the local music scene.  Their success is only growing and flourishing as they gather more sheep into their electro-tribe church through Lauryn Hill-esque soulful vocals of Nnedi Nebula Agbaroj, other-worldly and entrancing synths, rhythm and basslines of Andy Leonard, and pulse pounding, high octane drumming of Bobby Snakes.  The trio has a chemistry and flare that is unique, and they’re carving out a genre that feels refreshing and re-invigorating.  A mix of soulful R&B and aggressive hip-hop mixed with incredible, expansive space-like electronic production and up-tempo drum beats keep the vibe committed to positivity, dance, and a tribal connection between the band and the audience.  All of this was filmed by Austin Music Live and brought to fruition by the Hippie House.  It is truly something only to be experienced live and in the raw when you can visualize the raw emotion of Nnedi enrapture the crowd into a musically ritualistic fever dream.  The band is set to perform again on New Year’s Eve with local Latina heroes Group Fantasma, Lyrics Born, Mobley at Empire Control Room.
