Smallpools did everything big, from the sound to the performance on stage at Emo’s. Sean Scanlon’s vocals spanned an octave or two in a matter of a few notes with ease as he played synth/keys with the rest of the band fully filling out the rest of the songs. It was a veritable deluge on the ear drums, leaving no room for auditory boredom. Not wanting to neglect the visual aspect of the show, the band delighted when they brought out mallets that lit every time a note was played on the xylophone. Smallpools understand how to construct full songs and are a visual show not to be missed.
