To close an already wild evening, Peelander-Z was brought in as a late add to a show moved from Spiderhouse to Empire Control Room.  While Fragile Rock may have moved us emotionally, and Calliope Musicals visually, Peelander demanded physical movement.  The band identifies as a Japanese Action Comic Punk Band and delivers an in your face and interactive show the demands attention and respect.  Literally, Peelander Yellow brought fans on stage all night to join in on the antics while they shook the garage from catching guitars, aluminum cap drum circles, dance contents, becoming an honorary Peelander-Green, holding 10 ft tall Mic stands and somehow a conga-line turned limbo competition.  The entire venue was their stage and everyone in was in their war path.  Peelander Yellow himself jumped into the crowd to shred and surf.  They’re a veteran band that has earned their cult following after blowing lids since 1999 and I am glad they currently call Austin their home.
