Sylvan Esso blew away the crowd at Emo’s Austin. The Durham, North Carolina indie pop duo of Amelia Meath (vocals) and Nick Sanborn (instrumentals, production) filled the sold out venue with hypnotic vocals, infectious melodies and throbbing bass. Amelia’s dance moves were channeled directly to the back of the room, where the real dance party was. Austin held a special place in this tour for the very humble and grateful Sylvan Esso as the “full circle” city where they began this journey and where it will end on Sunday and at the ACL Festival.
