Foster the People gave Austin music goers an extra credit chance to see them outside of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. FTP really has their stage performance dialed in. Their set felt like a greatest hits performance from a band that, in the grand scale of things, hasn’t really been around that long. Rumors had spread quickly that due to the recent tragic events they would not be performing their smash hit Pumped Up Kicks. In a very somber and vulnerable tone, Mark acknowledged this and the divisiveness our country is dealing with prior to performing the song. Performing an astonishing 20 songs in the span of one hour and forty five minutes, it felt like an on-stage marathon. Foster the People is an unbelievably excellent touring band you really need to experience first hand.
